Earagail Health Club Manager

Gavin is originally from Belfast and brings with him over 16 years experience of the Fitness and Leisure industry. He is a fully qualified Fitness Instructor, Spin Cycle Instructor, Stability Ball Instructor , Circuit Training Instructor, Bodypump Instructor, First Aider, Pool Lifeguard and Swim Coach. Gavin has previously managed the Radisson Leisure Club in Letterkenny and the Mill Park Leisure Club in Donegal Town. He has also held senior instructor positions at the Arena Health & Fitness Club in Belfast, the Devenish Complex in Belfast and the Kensington Club in Hollywood. Gavin is also a qualified Physical Therapist and will be introducing a Pain & Injury clinic to the Earagail Health Club in the near future.

Senior Pool Supervisor

Antoin is the senior pool supervisor and lifeguard at the Earagail Health Club and is originally from Tory Island. Being brought up by the sea he has always had an interest in swimming and fishing. He was out on the boats salmon fishing with his dad since he was a young lad until he was about 18. Antoin is a member of the coastguard and has been working with them for about 5 years now. As part of his coastguard training he has done his CPR levels 1 and 2 on the boat, and is currently working on level 3. He also has VHF radio qualifications and is qualified in Deep Sea Diving. His next goal is to become qualified as a diving instructor.

“I have great respect for the sea,” says Antoin. “ I wish everybody had, then we might have less accidents.”

Pool Life Guard/Receptionist

Joanne has recently returned from a gap year adventure where she spent her time globe trotting from country to country with nothing but a bag on her back. She began her career in the leisure industry in 2002 where she studied a BA in outdoor education and Leisure. She has worked in many different places, such as Dunmore East Adventure Centre, Delphi and Killary harbour to mention but a few.

“Although it’s taken time to settle back,” admits Joanne, “it is good to be home and I’m looking forward to a new adventure at the Earagail Health Club.”

Receptionist

Margaret is from Gweedore and has qualifications in computers, accounts and is also a special need trainer. She has previously worked in telecommunications and admits to having the gift of the gab. Margaret is a keen swimmer but also enjoys mountain walking as a means of keeping fit.
